How to reset the TP-Link Kasa Cam?

You can reset the camera via the RESET button or Kasa APP.

 

1. Reset via RESET button

Press and hold RESET button for 3 to 15 seconds until the led blinks amber slowly to soft reset to SoftAP mode. Soft reset does not erase the current settings.

Press and hold RESET button for over 15 seconds until the led blinks amber quickly to reset to Factory mode. It will erase all of your custom settings and restore the camera to factory defaults.

2. Reset via Kasa APP

Only when the camera is online and the led show solid green, you can reset the camera via Kasa APP.

Go to the device settings page and remove the device.

Reset via the Kasa APP will restore the camera to factory defaults.

After reset, the camera’s LED will alternate amber and green. You can see the camera’s default Wi-Fi, which is named as Kasa_Cam_XXXX (XXXX is the last four digits of MAC address of camera). If the LED doesn’t alternate amber and green, please try to reset again.

 

Where is the RESET button?

Here we will take KC120, KC110 and KC200 for example.

For KC120, you need to remove the magnetic housing first to see the RESET button.

 

For KC110, you need to tilt the camera lens up to find the RESET button.

 

For KC120, you need to remove the magnetic mount first to see the RESET button.
