Free Fiber and Next-Generation Wi-Fi: TP-Link and iFiber Launch New Standard for Housing Associations

    Copenhagen, Denmark, Oct. 10, 2026

TP-Link and iFiber today announce a new pioneering solution designed to transform connectivity for Danish housing associations. Through this collaboration, housing cooperatives can now access fiber connectivity combined with high-performance Wi-Fi 7 infrastructure, introducing a new model for delivering reliable, high-quality broadband to residents.

As part of the offering, fiber installation is provided free of charge to the housing association. Fiber connectivity is delivered through iFiber’s established infrastructure partners, while iFiber manages the commercial setup and coordination.

At the core of the initiative is a simple but impactful proposition: bringing fiber connectivity and premium in-home Wi-Fi together in one coordinated offer, tailored to the needs of multi-dwelling communities. By combining fiber access, commercial coordination, and advanced Wi-Fi technology, the collaboration provides a more integrated approach to residential connectivity.

Raising the Standard for Home Wi-Fi Experience

This new solution places strong emphasis on the end-user experience, ensuring reliable, high-performance connectivity throughout the home. In residential buildings where many Wi-Fi networks operate in close proximity, congestion and interference are common challenges that can significantly affect performance.

TP-Link’s award-winning Deco BE65 plays a central role in addressing these challenges. Built on tri-band Wi-Fi 7 technology, it enables more efficient traffic distribution and improved stability in dense environments, helping provide a reliable and seamless Wi-Fi experience across the home.

While fiber delivers high-speed connectivity into the home, the in-home network can often become the limiting factor. By combining fiber access with advanced Wi-Fi technology, the solution helps ensure that the available bandwidth can be fully utilized in everyday use.

Together with iFiber’s commercial model and TP-Link’s next-generation Wi-Fi technology, the offering is designed to provide a robust, scalable, and user-friendly connectivity experience for modern households. It offers a more integrated way of delivering broadband across multi-dwelling environments.

A New Market Model for Housing Cooperatives

The collaboration introduces a new approach to broadband delivery for housing cooperatives, moving beyond traditional setups towards a more integrated and accessible model.

By bringing fiber connectivity and premium in-home Wi-Fi together in one coordinated offer, the solution addresses both performance and long-term value. The approach focuses on delivering high-quality connectivity at an attractive price point, while reducing the need for ongoing support.

The model also ensures that ownership of the router remains with the end user. This provides a more transparent and cost-efficient alternative to traditional rental-based models, where costs continue throughout the customer relationship. Flexible payment options are available, including installment models.

    Driven by Proven Industry Leadership

A key driver behind the initiative is the experience and track record of iFiber’s CEO, Frank Rasmussen. With more than 30 years of experience in the networking and telecommunications industry, he has played a central role in building and scaling multiple pioneering companies in Northern Europe.

This new initiative reflects a continued commitment to challenging established models and introducing innovative solutions to the market.

“With this solution, we are once again rethinking how connectivity can be delivered to end users. By bringing together the right partners, we can create a solution that benefits both housing cooperatives and residents,” says Frank Rasmussen, CEO of iFiber.

Enabling the Next Generation of Residential Connectivity

For TP-Link, the collaboration represents a strategic step in supporting new service models within the ISP and housing association segment.

“Our award-winning Deco BE65 platform, built on the latest Wi-Fi 7 technology, is designed to deliver both performance and simplicity. With advanced mesh capabilities and ultra-fast speeds, it ensures a reliable, seamless Wi-Fi experience throughout the home.

Through this collaboration, we are able to bring a new level of connectivity to residents and support a model that raises expectations for residential broadband, both in terms of performance and ease of use,” says Jens Bundgaard, BDM, ISP Solutions Nordics at TP-Link.
