TP-Link Nordic warns customers about fraudulent website impersonating TP-Link
TP-Link Nordic has identified a fraudulent website using TP-Link branding and a misleading domain name. The company has taken action to have the site removed and urges customers to verify website addresses carefully before making any purchase.
Solna, Sweden - 29 April 2026 - TP-Link Nordic is warning customers about a fraudulent website falsely claiming to represent TP-Link and sell TP-Link products.
The website, www.tp-link.com.se, is not operated, approved or authorised by TP-Link. The site uses TP-Link branding, product names and a domain structure that may mislead customers into believing it is an official TP-Link website.
TP-Link Nordic has received reports from customers who have placed orders through the fraudulent website and suffered financial losses. The company is now taking action through the appropriate reporting, technical and legal channels to have the website taken down.
“We want to be very clear: www.tp-link.com.se is not an official TP-Link website and is not authorised by TP-Link,” says Petter Adolfsson, Nordic Marketing Manager at TP-Link Nordic. “We have taken action to have the site removed, but fraudulent websites can reappear under new or similar domain names. That is why customer awareness is extremely important.”
TP-Link Nordic encourages customers to carefully check the website address before placing an order. Fraudulent websites may use familiar logos, product images, similar domain names, unusually low prices or unclear company information to appear legitimate.
Customers should only purchase TP-Link products through official TP-Link channels or authorised retail and distribution partners. Any future direct hardware sales from TP-Link will be clearly communicated through official TP-Link channels and operated only through verified TP-Link domains.
“Our priority is to protect customers and prevent people from being misled by fraudulent actors,” adds Petter Adolfsson. “If a website looks suspicious, uses an unusual domain, or offers products in a way that feels unclear, we strongly recommend verifying it before making a payment.”
Customers who believe they have encountered a fraudulent TP-Link website should avoid making any payment, save relevant information such as screenshots, order confirmations, payment details and the website URL, and report the incident to TP-Link support and the relevant local authorities.
Customers who have already made a payment through the fraudulent website are advised to contact their local authorities, bank or payment provider as soon as possible.
