What can I do if I don’t receive my doorbell notifications?

If you are not receiving notifications from your doorbell, please check the following settings.

Note: Images may vary for different systems/brands.

For iOS users

1. You will need to allow notifications on your iPhone or iPad.

Go to Settings > Tapo > Notifications on your iPhone or iPad. Then enable Allow Notifications and select Immediate Delivery. In the Alerts section, select Lock Screen, Notification Center, and Banners.

2. You will also need to allow notifications in your Tapo app.

Go to Me > Notifications of your Tapo app. Locate the Device Notifications section, then enable Device, and tap Management to turn on notifications of your device. Notifications are enabled by default.

For Android users

1. You will need to allow notifications on your phone or tablet.

Go to Settings > App > Tapo on your phone or tablet. Tap Notifications. Then enable Allow Notifications and allow the three notification types (Lock ScreenBadge, and Pop-up). In Notification categories, turn on VerificationMiscellaneous, and Doorbell. Then tap each category and turn on Show as a pop-up respectively.

  

2. You also need to allow notifications in your Tapo app.

Go to Me > Notifications of your Tapo app. Locate the Device Notifications section, then enable Device, and tap Management to turn on notifications of your device. Notifications are enabled by default.
