How should I change the login account and password of TP-Link device via Tether App?

Case 1 For Wi-Fi 6/6E/7 Router, Wi-Fi 7 Range Extender

For example: Archer AX72/AXE95/BE800/BE900, RE800BE, Etc.

Here takes Archer AX72 for demonstration.

Step 1: Launch the Tether app, and tap Local Device to find your target device.

Step 2: Then you’ll see the following page. Tap More to manage your device.

Step 3: Then tap System in the More page.

Step 4: Tap Manage Password to manage the login password.

Case 2 For other models

For example: Archer A8/C54/C5400/VR900/MR600, RE500/TL-WA854RE, Etc.

Here takes TL-WR902AC for demonstration.

Step 1: Launch the Tether app, and tap Local Device to find your target device.

Step 2: Then you’ll see the following page. Tap Tools to manage your device.

Step 3: Then tap System in the Tools page.

Step 4: Tap Login Account to manage your account.

Step 5: Before you change your account, you should Enter your current login password.

Note

Step 6: Enter your new account and password, and don’t forget to Save your changes.

It’s done! Now you can login with the new account!
