How to Enter Pairing Mode for a Tapo Motion Sensor
13048 Note: If your device is mounted on the wall using 3M adhesive, please remove the main body from the mounting bracket first.
To enter Pairing Mode, please refer to the steps below.
1. With one hand, pull up the clip on the back of the sensor. Then, with the other hand, twist the cover counterclockwise to remove the cover.
2. Remove the battery insulation tab if using your Tapo Motion Sensor for the first time.
3. Use a pin to press and hold the Reset button for about 5 seconds until the front LED begins blinking.
4. Open the Tapo app, tap the + icon in the upper-right corner, then follow the in-app instructions to complete pairing (or press the SYNC button on your Tapo hub to begin pairing).
After pairing is complete, you will be able to find your device on the home screen of the Tapo app.
