TP-Link Expands Kasa Smart Into New Smart Home Categories With A New Smart 2K Doorbell Camera and 2K Outdoor Camera

Kasa Smart Video Doorbell, KD110

The Kasa Smart Video Doorbell, KD110, replaces existing wired doorbells providing a 24/7 live view of the entry way through the Kasa app. The KD110 is equipped with AI algorithms for motion detection and person detection, so the user will receive immediate push notifications when someone is at their door. Users can answer the door remotely with the push-to-talk two-way audio with video. The camera features 2K video with a 160 degree diagonal field of view, and offers 30 feet of black and white night vision to view a standard walkway at night. The doorbell is weather-resistant with an IP64 rating, and a chime is included with the purchase.

Kasa Smart Outdoor Security Wi-Fi Camera, KC420WS

The Kasa Smart Outdoor Security Wi-Fi Camera, KC420WS, is a wired outdoor camera offering crystal clear 2K HD and 4MP resolution video. Additionally, the dual-integrated spotlights and Kasa Smart’s Starlight Sensor enables crisp, colored images in lowlight conditions and a long-distance view of up to 98 feet. Two-way talk is accessible anytime at the push of a button, and users can trigger the built-in speaker to play a siren to ward off intruders. The camera includes a 10-foot wire for flexible deployment.

Both cameras feature the ability to create custom activity zones, which are grids the users can create in video feed over vulnerable or important areas (such as a driveway or windows) to receive instant      motion-detected notifications. The smart cameras are fully compatible with Amazon Alexa and Google Assistant, and can play video on users’ favorite supported display with Amazon Echo Show or Google Chrome Cast.
