How to Setup NordVPN via OpenVPN Manually in the Deco App

The VPN Client feature turns your Deco into a VPN Client allowing device on your network to access a 3rd party VPN service, Line NordVPN. This FAQ will take you through the steps of connecting your Deco to your NordVPN account.
- Open the Deco APP then Tap More > Advanced > VPN Client.
- Tap Add VPN Server, then choose Custom.
- Select OpenVPN,
- Enter your NordVPN username and password and import the config file required by NordVPN.
Note: The username and password can be either NordVPN account or NordVPN service credentials.
If you need assistance in getting this information you can follow the steps below.
- Login the NordVPN Official Website,
- Go to the Nord Account dashboard as below and click on Set up NordVPN manually.
- You will receive a verification code via the email you used for NordVPN services. Type the code to continue.
- Find the NordVPN service username and password referring to the below instruction.
- Choose a NordVPN server and download the related config file.
Note: Only one configuration file can be uploaded at a time.
- After all information has been filled in, please click on save. Use this information to complete the manual setup on your TP-Link Deco.
