Tapo T150 Smart Presence Sensor

Welcome to the setup guide.

To ensure equal access for all users, we offer this accessible setup guide. This guide is designed to meet accessibility needs, enabling a successful setup. It will introduce the appearance of your sensor and then guide you through the setup process.

Step 1. Know about your smart sensor

In this section, we will describe the sensor's appearance, including its button and label.

1. You can find your sensor,  the foldable magnetic base, and batteries provided in the package.

The sensor: The T150 adopts a compact design that integrates five detection functions: motion/stillness detection, ambient light sensing, temperature monitoring, humidity tracking, and human presence recognition.

Foldable magnetic base: It helps to adjust the sensor angle.

Batteries: Two batteries are provided.

2. Next, place the sensor on a flat, horizontal surface, like a shelf or desktop, ensuring the spherical protrusion on the product is facing up and to your right.

3. After positioning your sensor correctly, we will introduce the button and label on your device in a certain order.

Button: There is only one button on the product. When your sensor is powered on, you can double-press the button to test the connection with the hub by checking if the hub sounds an alarm, or press and hold the button for 5 seconds to reset Wi-Fi while preserving other existing settings.

Battery cover: Located at the bottom of the product.

Product "Label": The product label is through laser engraving on the back panel of your device.

 

Step 2. Set Up

1. Get the Tapo app from the App Store or Google Play.

2. Power up your sensor. Wait 2 seconds for the sensor to start up.

3. Tap the + button in the app and select your device model. Follow the app instructions to complete the setup.
