About This Guide
This guide provides a brief introduction to the e Tapo Smart Hub and the Tapo app, as well as regulatory information.
Please note that features available in Tapo may vary by model and software version. Tapo availability may also vary by region. All images, steps, and descriptions in this guide are only examples and may not reflect your actual Tapo experience.
In this guide, the following convention is used:

Introduction
Tapo Smart Hub works as your smart home ecosystem center. It connects up to 64 smart buttons, sensors, or Sub-1G switches** + 4 cameras or video doorbells (Tapo C420, Tapo C400, Tapo D230) to build a smart ecosystem for your home.
- Unite Your Tapo Ecosystem* – Connect up to 64 sub-devices using Tapo's efficient low-power protocol and centralize them on your Wi-Fi network via the Tapo Hub for seamless control through the Tapo app.
- Smart Alarm & Chime – Pair with Tapo sensors and smart buttons to sound hub alarms or chimes when triggered. (Tapo sensors and Tapo smart buttons sold separately.)
- microSD Card Slot (Up to 512 GB)† – Insert a microSD card to store recorded videos of the connected cameras and doorbells.
- Advanced Home Automation – With the Tapo Hub, effortlessly control other Tapo devices by setting up automations triggered by Tapo sensors.
- Local Mode – With the Tapo Hub, sub-devices and home automation work consistently within a Local Area Network (LAN).
- 19 Ringtone Options – 90 DB‡ built-in multiple ringtones for your customized scenarios.

Appearance
Status LED: It shows your hub status.
SYNC Button: The hub has only one button.
Press once:
Enter pairing mode; Silence when ringing.
Press and hold for 5 seconds:
Keep the existing settings except Wi-Fi.
Press and hold for 10 seconds:
Restore your smart plug to factory default settings and reenable setup mode.

Set Up Your Hub
Follow the steps below to get started with your new hub.
Step 1. Download Tapo App
Get the Tapo app from the App Store or Google Play, or by scanning the QR code below.
Step 2. Log In
Open the app, and log in with your TP-Link ID. If you don't have an account, create one first.
Step 3. Add Your Hub
Tap the + button in the app and search for your model. Follow the app instructions to complete setup.
Reset Your Hub
You can reset your device on the Home Page or Settings page in the Tapo app, or by pressing SYNC button on your device.

Tap Remove at the bottom.

Safety Information
