Q1: How many cleaning modes can I choose?

A1: You can select from five modes—Perfect Fit, Vacuum & Mop, Vacuum then Mop, Vacuum Only, and Mop Only. You can also customize the modes for each room to suit your needs.

Q2: What is Perfect Fit?

A2: The robot automatically adjusts its cleaning time, vacuum suction power, water level, and path based on your home environment to provide the best cleaning solution.

Q3: How to install the mop cloth on the mop cloth mount

A3: First, align the circular mop cloth with the Velcro on the mop mount and press firmly. Then attach the mop mount to the robot's mounting points until you hear it click into place.

Q4: When will the DeepEdge Adaptive Mopping take effect?

A4: When cleaning along walls or obstacles, the right mop will extend outward to hug edges to do one deep mop.
Note: Tapo RV50 Omni does not support this feature.

Q5: Can the robot detect carpets and avoid wetting them while mopping?

A5: Yes. The robot vacuum will detect the carpet area using an ultrasonic sensor and automatically raise the mop mount to prevent wetting the carpet during mopping.

Q6: When does the Auto-mop lifting feature take effect?

A6: Auto-mop lifting feature will take effect when the task needs to mop, but the carpet area is set to "Cross" or "Vacuum Only".

Q7: Is the Tangle-Free Cutting Brush harmful to humans or pets?

A7: The Tangle-Free Cutting Brush features shallow blades protected by a steel casing, ensuring it poses no risk of injury to people or pets during cleaning.

Part 2: Omni Station Related

Q1: Are there any placement requirements for the station?

A1:

  • Make sure there is no obstacle 1.5 m (4.9 ft) in front and 5 cm (2 in) to the left and right.

  • Place it on a flat, hard floor.
  • Place it in an area with a good 2.4GHz Wi-Fi network signal.
  • Avoid exposure to sunlight.
  • Do not place it near stairs.

Q2: How to install the Detachable Base

A2: With the striped side facing up, align it vertically with the two clips on the station and press down firmly until you hear a click.

Q3: What improvements does the Omni Station have over the Plus Station?

A3: The Plus Station can only charge and empty dust. The Omni Station can also wash and dry the mop, automatically remove the mop, and automatically dispense cleaning solution.

Q4: What are the functions of the Clean Water Tank and the Dirty Water Tank?

A4: The Clean Water Tank holds fresh water for washing the mop and refilling the robot. The Dirty Water Tank collects the used wash water to keep the station’s tray clean.

Q5: How to use the Clean Water Tank and the Dirty Water Tank correctly

A5: At first use, fill the Clean Water Tank and leave the Dirty Water Tank empty. On the front of the station, the Clean Water Tank is on the left and the Dirty Water Tank on the right. During mop washing, clean water decreases, and dirty water increases. When the app alerts you that the Clean Water Tank is empty, remove both tanks, wash and re-install them, and refill the Clean Water Tank to the marked level.

Q7: How to manually wash and dry the mop in the station

A7: In the Tapo app, go to Tapo RV50 > Station, then tap Wash Mop or Dry Mop to start manual cleaning or drying.

Q8: How to install the cleaning solution

A8: Please refer to the FAQ about How to replace the cleaning solution of Tapo Robot Vacuum.

Q9: How to add the cleaning solution automatically before mopping

A9: After installing the cleaning solution correctly and enabling Auto Dispensing Detergent in Tapo app > Tapo RV50 > Station > Dock Settings, the station will add detergent automatically before each mop cycle.

Q10: What type of cleaning solution is supported?

A10: Only use the official Tapo cleaning solution. Using other brands may damage the tanks.

Q11: What is the function of the Smart Dirt Sensor?

A11: Assess the level of dirt in the dirty water tank to determine whether the mop requires prolonged washing and whether an additional mopping is necessary.
