How to Update the Firmware of Deco
When an updated version is available, you can see the new firmware info on the More->Update Deco page, all you have to do is download the latest firmware and install it.
An up-to-date software version provides better, more stable network performance, so we highly recommended always updating Deco to the latest firmware version.
Step 1: Launch the Deco App.
Step 2: Log in or tap Sign Up to set up a TP-Link ID.
Note: If you are already logged in, this screen will be skipped.
Step 3: Tap “More”, then click on “Update Deco”
Step 4: Here you can view your current firmware version if your firmware is the latest one, or you can see if any updates are available. If new firmware is available, you can see the new firmware info.
(Use Deco P7 for example)
Step 5: Tap “Download Firmware” to download the latest firmware.
Step 6: After the firmware is downloaded, click on “Install” to install the latest firmware.
After the firmware installed, the deco will rebooting. Then you can see the deco is using the latest firmware.
If the firmware update failed, please reboot the main Deco, move the Slave Deco close to the main Deco, then try to update again.
