    Job Description

    Reporting to the Marketing Manager, the Channel Marketing Specialist will be responsible for the development and management of channel marketing programs for TP-Link and its channel partners, business division.

    Responsibilities

    • Work with sales team to execute channel partners’ marketing activities.
    • Implement marketing strategies and develop marketing materials for business activities.
    • Work closely with TP-Link partners to coordinate the logistical aspects of marketing programs such as meetings, events, seminars, and special projects.
    • Coordinate corporate events and maintain channel events calendar.
    • Establish, build, and maintain relationships with TP-Link’s channel partners across Canada.
    • Budget allocate and track MDF and work closely with the sales team on execution.

     

    Skills and Qualifications

    • University Degree in Marketing, Communications, Business or related disciplines.
    • 3 years experience in channel marketing or account management, preferably within the IT industry.
    • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office; working knowledge in Adobe Creative Suite an asset.
    • Strong project management skills to include ability to handle multiple priorities.
    • Effective attention to detail and a high degree of accuracy.
    • Excellent verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills.
    • Self-motivated individual with the ability to work in a fast paced, entrepreneurial environment
    • Ability to work effectively cross-functionally.
    • Skills in HTML, Content Management Systems, and application development a definite asset.

    Job Description:

    We are looking for a highly motivated and exceptional Sales Specialist, Distribution with strong organization and customer services skills to join our talented team. As a Sales Specialist, Distribution you must have strong category management, communication skills, entrepreneurship and communication skills to develop and maintain strong working relationships with clients, pitch products or services, contact customers throughout the sales process, answer any questions customers have about the product to ensuring the smooth operation, delivery of sales and marketing targets with distributions.

    It would be best if you identify potential markets and consumers benefiting the organization you are working for. You also thrive in ambiguous situations, with the ability to be a self-starter and find solutions with/without guidance. You must be in Canada.

     

    Duties / Responsibilities:

    1. Be responsible for the day-to-day communications with all TP-Link distributors (TD Synnex, Ingram Micro, D&H, ASI, ADI, and Longtech) and a few strategic direct partners.

    2. Manage inventory in the distribution channel, including but not limited to maintaining optimal inventory level, pushing stock for new products, securing stock for large deals, addressing aging stock proactively, etc. The objective of this task is to increase the inventory turnover ratio in the distribution channel.

    3. Initiate and conduct marketing and sales activities (tradeshow, product training, webinar, floor walk, e-communications, sales contests, etc.) with major distributors.

    4. The main objective of this task is to increase the mindshare of TP-Link at distribution and improve the channel awareness of TP-Link. Collaborate with the marketing team, and sales team to implement TP-Link go-to-market strategies in the distribution channel. This task requires a clear understanding of the corporate strategy and the targeted customer’s business.

    5. Maintain effective communications with the disty PM, sales, marketing team at all levels on TP-Link strategies, sales campaigns, objectives, marketing items, operational issues, etc.
    The main objective of this task is to keep engaged with all the main departments of our distributors.

    6. Work with internal and external cross-functional departments to address issues related to distribution operations and optimize workflow and policy to avoid future operational issues.
    This task requires strong follow-through skills (to address issues) and logical thinking (to set up SOP and standards).

     

    Qualifications:

    • Post-secondary education
    • 2+ years experience in distribution, prefer 3-5 years
    • 2+ years experience in category management
    • Technical background in Networking is an asset
    • Demonstrated high level of strategic planning, analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
    • Highly motivated and result-driven with a proven track record in sales
    • Prioritizing, time management and organizational skills
    • Ability to create and deliver presentations tailored to the audience’s needs
    • Relationship management skills and openness to feedback
    • Problem tracking and resolution capabilities

     

    Language: English and Mandarin/Cantonese

    • B2B experience and understanding of the Canadian market is an asset
    • Able to proactively cold call into net new accounts in order to drive new business
    • Excellent time management and prioritization skills
    • Understanding of consumer behaviors and industry trends.

    • Experience in preparing business solution proposals
    • Excellent written and verbal communication in English, French is an asset
    • Sound knowledge and practical experience in the area of pre-sales activities
    • Diploma in Computer Technology-related discipline (Computer Science, Computer Engineering, etc.)
    • Industry-recognized certificates are assets
    • 5 years Networking Engineer experience
