You will be working in a small technical team. This role plays a vital role in liaising between various customers and the company.
The primary responsibility for this role is to support 1st line customer service by answer inquiries and questions from customers. The intention is to project the company's image professionally through telephone interaction and professional manner. The engineer also deals with customer complaints and proposes appropriate solutions. Besides, the person also needs to do product testing to make sure that new products will be localized.
Duties and Responsibilities
• Answering inbound calls and assisting customers who have particular inquiries or questions;
• Building the interest of customers in the products and services offered by the company;
• Checking online products reviews from website including social networking;
• Documenting details of comments, inquiries, complaints, and actions taken;
• Directing unresolved issues and requests to the appropriate designated resource;
• Recognizing, documenting, and informing the supervisor regarding the trends in internal and external customer calls;
• Providing individualized customer service at high-standard professional level;
• summarizing from Customers’ requests and ideas to head office;
• Testing Beta Products e.g. Wireless and Cable/Modem/3G Routers, Switches etc.
• Product testing for localizing new products test;
• Providing technical support to Sales and Marketing department;
• Other tasks assigned by manager.Skills and Qualifications
• Bachelor's degree or above in Computing Networking/Engineering/Science ;
• Good understanding of Networking Fundamentals e.g LAN/WAN;
• Good understanding of the OSI Model;
• Good understanding of Wireless Standards e.g. IEEE 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac;
• Previous technical customer service experience is ideal but not essential;
• Able to juggle multiple projects simultaneously;
• Ability to cope with difficult customer situations & handle diverse people;
• Analyse customer's problems properly and provide logical solutions & being resourceful and attention to detail;
• Take initiative to learn updated products, technology and technical market environment;
• Good telephone manner;
• Fluent in English, both written and verbal.
