    Business Development Manager - Public Sector

    TP-LINK UK LTD is seeking to recruit a Business Development Manager who will focus on Public Sector end users to join our UK sales team. As market leaders in the consumer and SMB networking space TP-LINK UK LTD is looking for a driven, dynamic and ambitious professional to further enhance the sales team and bring new opportunities to the business. This individual must have a solid background in developing Public Sector accounts in the IT industry and have a proven track record of success. Prospecting, pitching and maximizing TP-LINK solution sales whilst building long term trusted relationships.

     Key job role and responsibilities:

    • To drive TP-LINK business within the public sector space utilising existing customer relationships, internal resource, and channel experience. This will require detailed planning, competitive analysis, customer education, forecasting and execution of comprehensive sales and marketing plans.
    • Focus on key Public Sector markets including Education, Healthcare, Central and Local Government, MOD, DWP, Public Transport, Law Enforcement, Emergency services, Infrastructure. 
    • Understanding of public sector Procurement Arms, Frameworks, associated resellers, and end users.
    • In-depth knowledge of the TP-LINK SMB/Enterprise product portfolio, including how to build effective customer solutions and cross sell from competitive brands. The ability to competently train customer sales staff on SMB and consumer TP-LINK networking solutions
    • Build cross-functional relationships with all levels of management including sales, marketing, purchasing, finance and technical within each organisation to build a comprehensive network of key contacts.
    • Manage the end-to-end sales process from concept to execution within each customer and closely manage the ROI and company expenditure in the best interest of the business.
    • Effectively communicate account progress and pipeline of opportunities to the TP-LINK management team through weekly reporting and regular meetings
    • Work effectively within a team environment and offer support to other areas of the business when required, occasional tradeshow cover and training activities.

    Desired Skills and Experience

    • Full UK driving license with a view to visit customers across the whole of the UK depending on office locations, this may entail occasional overnight stop-overs.
    • Strong customer facing skills with competence in training, presentations and professional business planning.
    • 8+ Years of IT and/or Computer Network sales. A good track record of working for or with public sector resellers and End Users, ideally still working in this space. 
    • Highly motivated, well organized, detail-oriented, creative, and innovative, and possess good time management skills. Project management experience will be desirable. 
    • Be able to multi-task, do market research and analyse results effectively, prioritize and influence stakeholders, understand the target market and its dynamics in detail.
    • Team player with the ability to work closely with all areas of the TP-LINK business and cope well under the pressure of tight deadlines on numerous projects.

    Desired Skills and Experience

    • Full UK driving license with a view to regularly visit customers across the UK, occasional overnight stop-overs.
    • Customer facing skills with the ability to present, train and build business plans with key customers.
    • Ability to work in a team environment but also as an individual contributor, someone with self motivation and a desire to deliver results.
    • Ability to multi-task, do market research and analyse results effectively, prioritize and influence stakeholders, understand the target market and its dynamics in detail.
