To use the adapter, simply plug the adapter into your computer and install the driver. Our driver is designed to work with screen readers and can be installed using just your keyboard!

Part 1. Learn about your Adapter
This section introduces the adapter's package content and appearance.
1. Unpack Your adapter
Your package contains an adapter, a USB extension cable, and installation guides.
USB Extension Cable: a thick long cable with two connectors: one female USB connector for the adapter and one smaller USB A connector for your computer’s USB port.
2. Appearance Introduction
The adapter is a small, lightweight device (like a thumb drive) with a smooth plastic body and a metal USB connector at one end to plug into the computer. On one side, there is a small square WPS button. On the other is an external antenna, which can be rotated and adjusted as needed to fit various operation environments.
WPS button: Press the WPS button on your router. Within 2 minutes, press and hold the WPS button on the adapter until WPS Tool opens.
Part 2. Get Started
Step 1. Connect your Adapter to a Computer
Remove the cover and insert the adapter into a USB port on your computer directly. Adjust the antenna angle for optimal performance.
Note: You can also connect your adapter to your computer via the provided USB cable. Insert the adapter into the female USB connector and connect the smaller USB connector of the cable to your computer.
Step 2. Install Drivers
This adapter supports Plug and Play feature. Insert the adapter into a USB port on your computer and then it is ready to use.
If your operating system does not support this feature, follow the steps below:
a. Download the driver or check the new release at https://www.tp-link.com/download-center
b. Unzip the downloaded folder and run the Setup.exe.
c. Select your adapter and follow the instructions to complete the installation.
Note:
• If you can’t install the driver successfully, disable the antivirus software and firewall, then try again.
• In Windows 7, if a Windows Security message pops up, refer to https://www.tp-link.com/faq-2760.html
• If an unknown publisher message pops up, select Yes to continue.
• If Windows User Account Control requires admin credentials, type user name and password of your Windows administrator account.
Step 3. Join a Wireless Network
a. Click the network status icon on the taskbar.
b. Select your Wi-Fi network, click Connect, and enter the password when prompted.
