Can I still use the TP-Link HomeCare or HomeCare Pro features after the complimentary expires?

The free license period begins on the date that the router is installed and connected to the Internet.

The HomeCare™ function provided by Trend Micro has previously announced that the feature has only a three-year free trial period. Recently, the free trial period of some models has reached three years. After internal discussions, we decided to provide the existing HomeCare™ function for free, no additional cost for users.

The existing HomeCare™ mainly includes Antivirus, Parental Control, and Qos. Customers with HomeCare™ models have the right that a lifetime subscription to the HomeCare™ function. The “Lifetime Subscription” refers solely to the life of the purchased device and can not be transferred. TP-Link reserves the right to modify the service and feature at any time. For HomeCare Pro powered by Avira

The free license period begins on the date that you subscribe to the HomeCare Pro plan.

Without a paid subscription after it expired, you could still operate a network scan, have limited access to Parental Controls, and make use of Quality of Service.

 

This FAQ will be updated to reflect any changes to the above complimentary offering prior to the end of the free license subscription period.
