This guide is here to make the setup easy for everyone. We’ll walk you through what’s in the box, how the adapter looks, and how to install it and its driver.

To use the adapter, simply plug the adapter into your PC and install the driver. Our driver is designed to work with screen readers and can be installed using just your keyboard!

Part 1. Know about your adapter

This section introduces the adapter's package content and appearance.

1. Unpack Your adapter

Your package contains an adapter and installation guides.

2. Appearance Introduction

The adapter is a small, lightweight device (like a tiny thumb drive) with a smooth plastic body and a metal USB connector at one end to plug into the computer.

Part 2. Get Started

Before You Start:

If your adapter supports Bluetooth and you intend to use this feature with Bluetooth devices you've already connected, proceed with Step 1. Otherwise, skip to Step 2.

Step 1. Disable Existing Bluetooth

a. Right-click My Computer, select Manage, go to Device Manager.

b. Expand the Bluetooth node to find your existing Bluetooth device.

c. Right-click the existing Bluetooth device and select Disable.

Note: Make sure you have disabled all existing Bluetooth devices (both built-in and third-party).

Step 2. Connect your Adapter to a Computer

Insert the adapter into a USB port on your computer directly.

Step 3. Install Drivers

a. Download the latest driver at https://www.tp-link.com/download-center"

Tip:

For Windows 11/10/8.1 system, the driver installation will automatically start when connected to the internet. If not, please download the driver manually.

b. Extract the downloaded file and run the setup.exe/Autorun.exe to start driver installation.

c. Follow the instructions to complete installation.

d. Once the process is finished, restart your computer.

Note:

• Your TP-Link Bluetooth USB adapter will be listed in the Device Manager when the driver is installed correctly.

• If the driver installation fails, disable the antivirus software and firewall, then try again.

• In Windows 7, if a Windows Security message pops up, refer to https://www.tp-link.com/faq-2760.html

Step 4. Pair with Bluetooth Devices

a. Right-click the Bluetooth icon on the taskbar.

Note: If the Bluetooth icon is not displayed, refer to https://www.tp-link.com/en/support/faq/3942/

b. Select “Add a Bluetooth Device” or” Add a Device” to scan for available devices.

c. Select your Bluetooth device from the list and follow the on-screen instructions to complete pairing.

Note: Make sure your device’s Bluetooth is enabled and discoverable.
