TP-Link Extends Dominance in Global WLAN Market in Q3 2012

(Shenzhen, China) – November 26, 2012 --TP-Link has grown its overall dominance in the global WLAN market share rankings by units shipped in Q3 of 2012, according to the IDC Worldwide Quarterly WLAN Tracker - 2012 Q3, released by leading IT market research and advisory firm IDC, ranking the world’s wireless networking equipment vendors by product shipments and revenues.

Having led the market in unit shipments in the first two quarters of this year, TP-Link have increased their dominance with a 37% market share in Q3 compared with 34% and 33% respectively in the previous two quarters. Based on shipments, the market share is far ahead of other leading brands, more than 20 per cent ahead of TP-Link’s nearest competitor, and even higher than the next 3 brands' market share combined in Q3.

Compared with 2011 sales data, the research shows that TP-Link has maintained impressive growth. As of September 2012, sales had surpassed those of the entire previous year, with 37 million units shipped by Q3 2012 compared 35 million shipped in by Q4 of last year.

Having consistently been ranked the world’s largest supplier of Wireless networking products by unit shipments, at least from Q1 2011, the earliest data that IDC has on record for TP-Link, where WLAN market share was 24.41%, the market continues to see rapid growth. The overall success has come from a focus on the networking and communications industry to provide the best quality both in product and especially in service. What has been the driving force for TP-Link is that the company always strives to ensure that they function in a way that makes customer's lives easier.
