How to use Kasa Cam with Amazon Alexa

*Note: All Kasa Cams require and only work with the Kasa for Mobile App

The TP-Link Kasa Cam has support for select Alexa enabled devices.  With these select devices you can view the live feed from any Kasa Cams on the linked Kasa account.  Currently this support is limited to the Echo Show and Fire TV.  The following commands are currently supported.

*Note:  Fire TV requires to be attached to a display device

“Alexa, show me the [Camera Name]”

“Alexa, Hide the [Camera Name]”

“Alexa, go Home”

“Alexa, Stop”

Currently the support for “camera on/off” commands is not available.  Due to this Echo and Echo Dot will not accept commands, and are not supported with Kasa Cam.  Support for “camera on/off” commands could also present a possible security risk, as an intruder could potentially shut of your cameras with a simple command.
