How to Connect a Tapo Device to Alexa
Step 1
Make sure your Echo device is set up first.
Step 2
Turn on your Tapo smart plug and place it near your Echo device. If your Echo device or Alexa app prompts you to "Find the first plug," proceed to Step 3.
Otherwise, set up your smart plug using the Tapo app. Then go to "Me" > "Third-Party Services," select "Amazon Alexa," and follow the in-app instructions.
Step 3
Once setup is complete, you can use your Tapo smart plug with Alexa. Simply say, "Alexa, turn on the first plug."
