If you get the warning message asking you to "upgrade the Device´s Firmware to 1.8, and try to add the device", showed as below:
(This warning message would appear when you’re trying to add another device on utility.)

This is quite possible that your TL-PA101 is of Version 1.0, but you mistakenly downloaded the Powerline Utility which is for TL-PA101 Version 2.0.
To solve the problem, just download the right Utility from our website, here is a link to download Utility for Version 1.0: TL-PA101_V1
P.S. The difference in appearance between TL-PA101 V1.0 and V2.0:
TL-PA101 V 1.0 has a white and black panel.
TL-PA101 V 2.0 has an all-black panel.
