How to set the Surfshark WireGuard manually on TP-Link Wireless Router

VPN Client is used to create VPN connections for devices in your home network to access a remote VPN server. To use the VPN feature, simply configure a VPN connection and choose your desired devices on your Deco router, then these devices can access the remote VPN server. Please follow the steps below:

1. Log in to the web-based interface of the router. If you don’t know how to do that, please refer to How do I log into the web-based Utility (Management Page) of TP-Link wireless router?

Turn to Advanced>VPN Client, and enable the option VPN Client.

2. In the Server List section below, there is an 'Add' option in the upper right corner. Click on it and select “Set up manually”.

3. Select WireGuard, fill in the description, and import the .conf file you obtained from Surfshark.

If you are not sure how to get the .conf file, please follow the below steps:

Step1: Login the Surfshark Official Website,

If you don’t have an account, click here to get one.

Step2: Click VPN>Manual setup>Router, and select WireGuard.

Step3: Follow the steps below to generate a key pair for your connection.

Step4: After the key generation is complete, select the location of your VPN server and click the download button. Your browser will then start downloading a file in .conf format.
