Business Product End-of-Life Policy

Overview

Products have lifecycles and eventually leave the market for various reasons, such as declining demand, the release of new technology, or the development of better products. Support and maintenance, including security updates, are discontinued for such products.

Refer to the EOS List for Business to check the full list of our products that have already been taken off the market. You can check your product’s model and version number on the product. If your product has been taken off the market, purchasing a new product is recommended to ensure better performance and security.

EOL Policy Milestones and Definitions

Milestones Definition Action and Impact
End of Life The End of Life (EOL) refers to the overall process by which a product is phased out of the market. It encompasses all lifecycle milestones from the End of Sales announcement through the cessation of maintenance and support. -
End of Sales The End of Sales (EOS) date is when a business product is discontinued. After this date, new orders will no longer be accepted for the product. A notification will be provided around 6 months before the EOS date by publishing the information on the official website. Please click EOS List for Business.
End of Maintenance The End of Maintenance (EOM) date is the date after which regular software updates, bug fixes, or security updates will no longer be provided for a product. Unless otherwise required by law, the EOM date is determined by product category as follows:
  • Campus Series (Campus Switch, Campus AP): 5 years after the EOS date.
  • Non-Campus Products (Switch, Gateway, Controller, AP, Camera, and NVR): 3 years after the EOS date.
  • Accessories: No EOM date is specified.
Notwithstanding the above, maintenance may be offered for a longer period at the company’s discretion to address significant vulnerabilities and bugs.

EOL Policy Details

Note that the EOM date does not affect product warranty. Hardware repairs and part replacements will continue according to the official warranty and replacement policy. The Customer Service Center (CSC) is available to assist customers with products under warranty.

Support will continue to be provided for an in-warranty product after the EOS date, subject to the terms and conditions of the applicable product warranty. EOL will not change the hardware’s limited warranty period from the customer’s purchase date. Warranty and other related details depend on the local distribution sales policy.

Available and EOS versions and models may vary by region. Please contact your local representatives for the most recommended versions/models.
