Elevate Your Network with Omada Network 6.3: One Unified Platform for Intelligent O&M

By Omada Editorial Group

Omada Network 6.3 is now available, marking a milestone in platform integration and intelligent operations and maintenance (O&M). Built for growing business networks, this release simplifies multi-device management, enables more proactive operations, and supports scalable deployment—creating a more efficient, reliable, and intelligent network experience for demanding business environments.

What Is Omada Network

Omada Network is a professional network management platform for businesses, MSPs, and network administrators. It unifies gateways, switches, and access points into a centralized ecosystem managed via cloud, hardware, or software controllers. Through a single interface, it enables end-to-end control—from streamlined configuration and real-time monitoring to proactive O&M and rapid troubleshooting—helping deliver reliable performance and seamless scalability for retail, offices, hospitality, MDUs, and more.

What's New in Omada Network 6.3

Omada Network 6.3 focuses on three major upgrades: unified platform management, intelligent O&M, and optimized WLAN management. Together, these updates centralize device management in one platform, provide more guided and proactive troubleshooting, and reduce repetitive WLAN configuration for large-scale deployments. The release also includes enhanced security, device onboarding, and maintenance features for more complex business scenarios.

One Platform for Unified Management

Omada Network 6.3 now brings Omada and Omada Campus (Pro) devices into one centralized platform, replacing separate management platforms with a unified experience for deployment, monitoring, and maintenance.

This helps reduce platform switching, simplify operations across mixed device environments, and support growing networks with greater efficiency and confidence.

One Platform for Unified Management

Intelligent Anomaly Detection for Faster Resolution

Omada Network 6.3 connects intelligent anomaly detection with health insights, accelerating the journey from issue detection to resolution. Health alerts lead users to related incident insights, possible causes, and recommended actions, making it easier to understand what happened and what to do next.

This reduces guesswork, shortens troubleshooting time, and helps maintain a more stable network experience across business-critical environments.

Streamlined WLAN Management with AP Groups

Managing WLAN across large-scale deployments often means repeated SSID configuration, inconsistent settings, and limited visibility into where SSIDs are applied.

To reduce this complexity, Omada Network 6.3 introduces AP Group-based WLAN management. In this new model, SSIDs are managed at the Site level, while APs can be grouped by deployment scenario or WLAN usage needs. You can create SSIDs once and apply them to selected AP Groups without repetitive configuration.

With a centralized overview, admins can better understand where each SSID is applied, assess configuration impact, and troubleshoot localized issues—making WLAN management more scalable and predictable.

Professional Features for Demanding Scenarios

1. WIDS/WIPS: Stronger Protection Against Wireless Threats

Detects rogue APs, wireless attacks, and abnormal devices to protect business WLANs in demanding environments.

2. OUI-Based VLAN for EAPs: Faster and More Secure Device Onboarding

Automatically assigns VLANs by device MAC OUI, simplifying onboarding and segmentation for IP phones, IoT devices, printers, and more.

3. Rapid Device Replacement: Minimizes Downtime and On-Site Costs

Helps replace faulty APs or switches with less manual reconfiguration, restoring services faster and reducing on-site maintenance.

Key Additional Updates

  • Enhanced IoT Connectivity: Improves IoT device compatibility and connection stability with pre-optimized Wi-Fi settings.
  • 802.1X Guest/Escape VLAN: Places devices connected to Omada EAP wired ports into a designated Guest VLAN when 802.1X authentication fails or times out, helping maintain basic network access.
  • LAG Support for AP9788: Improves uplink throughput and redundancy through Link Aggregation.
  • mDNS Responder for EAPs: Reduces multicast overhead and improves network efficiency for mDNS-based services.
  • Power Saving Mode for EAPs: Helps reduce operating costs by adjusting EAP power consumption based on usage.
  • Background Rogue AP Scanning: Scans for rogue APs in the background without interrupting clients or Mesh APs.

For MSPs, network administrators, and growing businesses, Omada Network 6.3 delivers a more unified and intelligent way to manage modern business networks. It simplifies operations, reduces management complexity, and supports scalable deployment across demanding environments.
