What This Product Does
The MC420L is a versatile, high-performance media converter designed to bridge 10G/2.5G fiber and 10GBASE-T copper networks. Its standout feature is a user-selectable DIP switch that enables flexible selection of the optical port speed—1G/10G or 2.5G. This makes it a perfect solution for both seamlessly upgrading legacy gigabit infrastructure and deploying new multi-gigabit backbones.
With this multi-gigabit fiber converter, building long-range, point-to-point connections is effortless, making it ideal for network extensions across multiple buildings, remote surveillance, and automated factory equipment.
The MC420L offers flexible installation options, either as a standalone desktop unit or mounted in a compatible multi-slot chassis(Omada MC1400). Easy-to-view front panel LEDs provide real-time network status, and the maximum transmission distance is determined by the specific SFP/SFP+ module used.
