This video will demonstration how to do a full configuration with TP-Link Omada products including gateway, switches and EAPs. As an example, we are going to build the wired and wireless networks from scratch at our TP-Link Office. The setup consists of 7 steps: Step 1. Log in to the Controller Step 2. Adopt Devices Step 3. View Dashboard and Menus Step 4. Set up WAN Step 5. Set up LAN and VLANs Step 6. Set up Wi-Fi Step 7. Set up ACL
This video will demonstrate how to set up a TP-Link EAP via a web browser. The setup consists of three steps: 1. Connect the EAP to the network 2. Log into the EAP (via a wired/wireless connection) 3. Change the default SSID This video is suitable for users with a small number (1-3) of EAPs .

A firmware update can resolve issues that the previous firmware version may have and improve its current performance.
IMPORTANT: To prevent upgrade failures, please read the following before proceeding with the upgrade process
EAP620 HD(EU)_V1_1.1.0 Build 20211028
Please upgrade firmware/software from the local TP-Link official website of the purchase location for your TP-Link device, otherwise it may cause upgrade failure or mistakes and be against the warranty.
Recommended Controller Software Version: Omada Controller v4.1.5 or above
EAP620HD(EU)_V1_1.0.6 Build 20210730
This firmware fully adapts the Omada SDN platform but only compatible with Omada Controller v4.1.5 or above.
If you are using an old Omada controller and plan to upgrade this firmware for EAP, you must upgrade the Omada Controller as well: Upgrade Guide
New Feature/Enhancement:
1. Add Auto Channel Deployment function (need to work with Cloud-Based Controller).
2. Add automatic Tx Power deployment function (need to work with Cloud-Based Controller).
3. Add AP spectrum scanning function.
4. Add AI Roaming function.
5. Add Daylight Saving Time.
6. Add Dynamic VLAN function.
7. Add past connections function to show the historical connection clients.
8. Add the list of client association time activities and client association activities.
9. Add the feature that when using Migration moving EAP to an invalid IP address of Omada Controller, the EAP will roll back.
10. Add support for displaying CPU utilization, memory utilization, and bandwidth-related configuration in the Standalone mode of the Omada APP.
11. SSH supports to write the Controller IP address to EAP. The command is: xsetctrladdr “controller IP:29810”.
12. Optimize the high resources using of Omada Controller when managing a large number of EAPs in batches.
13. Set the default SSID encryption mode as AES.
14. Optimize security vulnerabilities.
Bug fixed:
1. Fixed the bug that the “client detail log” may not be sent normally to log server.
2. Fixed the bug that we can set invalid VLAN ID in Management VLAN settings.
3. Fixed the bug that the wireless clients which install the Omada APP may disconnect from the 5G radio of EAP if we change the 2.4G channel or Tx power of this EAP in the Omada APP.
4. Fixed the bug that the EAP may reboot abnormally during firmware upgrading and cause the device to brick.
5. Fixed the bug that after changing the bandwidth of the 5G band, the acquired channel list remains unchanged in the Standalone mode of the Omada APP.
6. Fixed the bug that the client list and block list cannot display icons of Huawei, Samsung or some other Android phones in the Standalone mode of the Omada APP.
Notes
1. For EAP620 HD v1 only.
2. This version of firmware is applied to the Omada APP of version 3.2.3x or above.
