Can I still use the TP-Link HomeCare/HomeCare Pro features after the complimentary expires?

TP-Link HomeCare/HomeCare Pro is complimentary for a few months from the date of activation. At the end of this complimentary period, you will not be able to use some features.

 

For HomeCare powered by TrendMicro

The free license period begins on the date that the router is installed and connected to the Internet.

After the free license expired, none of the HomeCare functions will work without a paid subscription, including Antivirus, Parental Controls, and Quality of Service.

 

For HomeCare Pro powered by Avira

The free license period begins on the date that you subscribe to the HomeCare Pro plan.

Without a paid subscription after it expired, you could still operate a network scan, have limited access to Parental Controls, and make use of Quality of Service.

 

This FAQ will be updated to reflect any changes to the above complimentary offering prior to the end of the free license subscription period.
