TP-LINK® RANKS HIGHEST IN OVERALL CUSTOMER SATISFACTION AMONG WIRELESS ROUTER MANUFACTURERS ACCORDING TO J.D. POWER 2017 REPORT

BREA, Calif. – Dec. 14, 2017 – TP-Link®, a leading global provider of consumer and business networking products, was ranked highest in customer satisfaction among wireless router manufacturers in the 2017 Wireless Router Satisfaction Report. The report is conducted by J.D. Power, known globally as the customer experience benchmarking authority. TP-Link was also the only brand to achieve top marks in the J.D. Power Circle RatingsTM, singling out the company as the very best in its field.

In order by importance, the 10 factors taken into account for the 2017 report include: Wi-Fi range; reliability; speed of upload/download; ability to restore connection easily; security capabilities; price; ease of use; variety of features; intuitive user interface and customer service.

“As wireless technology continues its rapid growth, consumers need to be able to rely on their wireless router to access the internet, maintain a strong connection and easily troubleshoot and resolve any issues,” said J.D. Power. “We consider all of these factors when we’re measuring customer satisfaction to help us identify the very best manufacturers in the industry.”

TP-Link has consistently ranked near the top since J.D. Power began measuring yearly satisfaction reports for wireless router manufacturers in 2015. Privately-owned and founded by two brothers, TP-Link is the only vertically integrated networking manufacturer in the industry. This unique corporate structure allows the company to create some of the most innovative and affordable networking products by researching, designing, building and testing everything it sells in-house, as opposed to outsourcing to original design manufactures. By having control over its own components and supply chain, TP-Link continues to push the boundaries of performance, refine the quality of its products and prioritize the user experience.

“We’ve focused our efforts around creating user-friendly, reliable products that are easy enough for anyone to use and enjoy,” said Lewis Wu, chief executive officer of TP-Link North America. “We are very proud to be recognized for these accomplishments as a top brand for customer satisfaction and will continue to focus on providing innovative technology offers for consumers.”

Software advancements have also contributed to TP-Link’s improved satisfaction scores, especially the free mobile apps that have become a crucial part of the experience for many TP-Link products. These mobile apps make step-by-step installation and product management much easier for users.

Beyond traditional networking products, the company is also an established leader in the emerging smart home product category. In addition to the award-winning Deco M5 whole-home mesh Wi-Fi system, which features built-in parental and security controls that protect users and their smart devices from vicious cyber-attacks and malware, TP-Link offers a robust lineup of smart home devices. Known as the Kasa smart home family, the lineup includes smart Wi-Fi plugs, Wi-Fi bulbs, Wi-Fi switches and Wi-Fi cameras, all of which can be controlled via the Kasa app. The Kasa app enables seamless control of all TP-Link smart devices via your mobile device or with voice control through Amazon Alexa and Google Assistant integrations.

The 2017 Wireless Router Satisfaction Report is based on responses from 980 current owners of wireless routers who purchased their device during the 12-month period prior to report fielding in October 2017. TP-Link networking devices and accessories are available online and in stores at major retailers across the country. You can learn more at www.tp-link.com.
