Reading, Berkshire, UK - 5th, September 2017 – As demand for smart home devices and the networks that power them increases, TP-Link, the world’s leading innovator of home, small and medium business networking solutions, has installed hundreds of POS stands with high street retailers and supermarkets to educate customers about smart home gadgets and devices.

The new TP-Link presence include:

  • 177 stands in Sainsbury’s: 75 L-shaped POS kiosks to showcase smart light bulbs and IP cameras, plus 35 home-office CDU (counter display units), and 67 blocker stands to feature smart plugs, plus powerlines, range extenders, routers and powerbanks. Five new SKUs, including a smart plug and a smart lightbulb have also been added.
  • Hero bays in hand-picked stores of Curry’s PC World which showcase the popular Deco M5 mesh router, launched last month.
  • In time for Argos catalogue launch, 149 store window displays will highlight TP-Link products, which integrate with Amazon Echo.
  • 218 smart home bays in Maplins, and 44 in Tesco. A further 156 networking bays to be rolled out in Tesco.
  • A trial Amazon Echo play-table at WH Smith, Reading, to demonstrate how TP-Link can provide additional value for Echo customers. WH Smith added SoHo networking solutions to its range several years ago.

“More affluent consumers want to integrate smart home technology to create whole home Wi-Fi for devices such as the Deco router, or to improve security with smart plugs or light bulbs.”

TP-Link Deco Whole Home Wi-Fi Create seamless whole home Wi-Fi with this router, which is the only one in the UK that comes with built-in antivirus, parental controls and QoS, thanks to TP-Link HomeCareTM powered by Trend MicroTM*. Other features include a quad-core CPU, and dual band wireless speeds of 400 Mbps. Comprises four internal antennae per unit, plus one USB Type-C port. Comes with Bluetooth 4.2 and is IPv6 compatible.

TP-Link HS100 Wi-Fi-Smart Plug: This plug includes remote access via the TP-Link Kasa app, which is compatible with iOS and Android, the ability to power electronics on and off, eg setting lights to come off or on at dusk or sunrise, an away mode to give the appearance somebody is at home, plus the ability to pair with Amazon Alexa or Google Assistant, to enable voice control.

TP-Link LB130 Smart Wi-Fi Led Bulb with colour changeable light: Connects directly to the home’s Wi-Fi, and can be managed remotely via the free TP-Link Kasa app (iOS, Android, this colour-changing bulb can be adjusted for brightness, as well as from soft white (2500k) to daylight (9000k). Can be paired with Amazon Alexa and the Google Assistant to enable voice control, while its circadian mode can dynamically adjust light intensity and temperature to mimic natural light patterns. This bulb will also reduce energy use up to 80% without brightness or quality loss compared to a 60W incandescent bulb. It comes with E27 (screw) & B22 (bayonet) fixings.

TP-Link LB100 Smart Wi-Fi LED Bulb with Dimmable Light Provides flexible white light for customised lighting and connects directly to the home Wi-Fi. Can be easily set up and controlled from anywhere thanks to the free Kasa app (iOS, Android), and paired with Amazon Alexa and the Google Assistant to enable voice control. It comes with E27 (screw) & B22 (bayonet) fixings.

TP-Link NC450 HD Pan/Tilt Wi-Fi Camera With Night Vision provides sharper, clearer images of your home from anywhere, at any time, thanks to the tpcamera app for this camera, which comes with 720p HD imaging technology. The camera can pan/tilt up to 360 degrees horizontally and 150 degrees vertically and can show up to 26 feet of night vision. Comes with motion and sound detection, and an email alert when motion or sound is detected. Users can communicate with family thanks to two-way audio, and there is an integrated SD slot (SD card not included).

TP-Link TL-PA7010P KIT AV1000 Gigabit Passthrough Powerline Starter Kit This plug and play powerline provides high-speed data transfer rates of up to 1000 Mbps, while a Gigabit port provides secure wired networks for desktops, smart TVs or games consoles. TP-Link’s patented Power-Saving Mode automatically reduces power consumption by up to 85%.

TP-Link TL-WA850RE 300Mbps Universal Wi-Fi Range Extender. This range extender boosts wireless signal to previously unreachable or hard-to-wire areas flawlessly at a push of a button, while its wall-mounted design makes it easy to deploy and move flexibly. An Ethernet port allows the extender to function as a wireless adapter to connect wired devices, while the TP-Link Tether App allows easy access and management using any mobile device. Compatible with any Wi-Fi router or wireless access point.

TP-Link RE200 AC750 Wi-Fi Range Extender. Provides dual band speeds of up to 750 Mbps. Boosts wireless signal to previously unreachable or hard-to-wire areas flawlessly. Compatible with 802.11 b/g/n and 802.11ac Wi-Fi devices. An Ethernet port allows the extender to function as a wireless adapter to connect wired devices. Works with any Wi-Fi router or wireless access point.
