OCADO Chooses TP-Link to Supply Smart Home Technology Products

Reading, Berkshire, UK - Oct. 3rd, 2016 - Ocado, the online supermarket, will from today (3 October 2016) stock TP-Link smart home products alongside groceries.

The retailer will showcase devices in its new smart home section, which is targeted at tech-savvy customers.

The TP-Link products include connected home essentials including smart plugs, a powerline, range extender, and two routers.  Ocado customers are increasingly using technology to order  shopping, around 50% use the retailer’s app.

TP-Link smart plugs or smart sockets can be controlled via the Kasa app which enables customers to activate devices in real time, programme activity, for example turning lights on at predetermined times. The Kasa app also works with the new Amazon Echo (sold separately) enabling customers to use voice commands to control the smart plugs.

The multi award-winning C9 AC1900 dual band router meets customers’ growing desire for high speed reliable wireless to stream and upload content, while the VR900 universal modem router has been praised for its versatility, connectivity, competitive price point and compact appearance by reviewers.
