>How to find the hardware version on a TP-Link device
The EAP Controller is used to manage multiple EAPs intensively.
If you are planning to upgrade to this version from an old Controller (V3.2.17 or below), please read the Omada Controller Upgrade Guide in the installation package before upgrading the controller.
If you are planning to upgrade to this version from an old Controller (V3.2.14 or below), please read the Omada Controller Upgrade Guide in the installation package before upgrading the controller.
This video will demonstrate how to set up a TP-Link EAP via a web browser. The setup consists of three steps:
1. Connect the EAP to the network
2. Log into the EAP (via a wired/wireless connection)
3. Change the default SSID
This video is suitable for users with a small number (1-3) of EAPs .

A firmware update can resolve issues that the previous firmware version may have and improve its current performance.

Please upgrade firmware/software from the local TP-Link official website of the purchase location for your TP-Link device, otherwise it may cause upgrade failure or mistakes and be against the warranty.
Recommended Controller Software Version: Omada Controller v4.1.5 or above
1. First firmware for EAP115 v5.
2. Fully adapt to Omada SDN controller.
1. For EAP115 v5 only.
2. This version of firmware is applied to the Omada APP of version 3.0.X or above.
3. This firmware is only compatible with Omada controller v4.1.5 or above. If you are using the old Omada controller and need to manage EAP115, you must upgrade the Omada controller to version 4.1.5 or above. You can follow Omada Controller Upgrade Guide to upgrade omada controller.
