Step 1 Open the web browser and type the IP address of the
router (default is 192.168.1.1) into the address bar and then Press Enter.
Step 2 Type the username and password in the login page, the default username and password both are ‘admin’ in lower case.
Step 3 Click Security->Firewall on the left side. Select Enable Firewall (the general firewall switch), then click Save button to save the setting.
Step 4 Click Security->Advanced Security on the left side. Select DoS Protection Enable, If you would like to prevent ping packet from WAN port, please select Ignore Ping Packet From WAN Port, If you would like to prevent ping packet from LAN port, please select Forbid Ping Packet From LAN Port.
Step 5 Click Save button to save the configurations.
When you have ignored ping packet from WAN port or forbidden ping packet from LAN port, the ping packet from WAN or LAN port will be blocked. The echo of the ping packet will request timed out.
