TP-Link’S TL-WR941ND 300MBPS WIRELESS N ROUTER WINS PRAISE IN THE CZECH REPUBLIC
[18, March, 2010] TP-Link’s TL-WR941ND won praise from the Czech Republic’s Extra PC magazine for its high performance, solid security features, and wide coverage area. The router won praise for favorable price / premium features.
TP-Link has seen steady growth in the Czech republic and generally in the Eastern European market in the few years that the company has been targeting the region. TP-Link hopes to increase market share in this valuable market by continuing to provide high quality products at an affordable price to end-users.

Chinese producer TP-Link has become quite well known in our market over the last few years and it is no wonder. They offer a complete range of networking solutions and in combination: a favorable price / premium features. We didn’t test their cheapest products this time, we chose a higher quality Wi-Fi router with 802.11n support for great coverage. Nevertheless, the price of these devices is well below one thousand crowns VAT.
Quite competitive for its price
The Wi-Fi router is equipped with three 3dBi antennas, that can be removed and replaced for more efficient solutions. For ordinary households and small businesses the standard version of the device delivers a very powerful signal and provides an even larger coverage area than average routers. While the device supports Wi-Fi 802.11n, its price is not surprising high, but only supports 2.4 GHz band, which is currently full of misc. wireless networks and devices. Anyway in practice we have managed to reach a speed of about 60 MB / s. which is normal for wireless N but compared to Wi-Fi based on 802.11g is a significant increase.
The TP-Link product offers advanced security options, of course, including WPA2-PSK. We were very pleased by the presence of QSS button in the front of the router. Quick Secure Setup corresponds to the standard WPS and allows quickly add a device to secure the network without having to know and enter a complex password. Windows 7 will, for example, when identifying a wireless network from the TP-Link adapter, prompt you to push the button on the router. Once you do, your secure connection is set. But if you know how to deal with configuration, TP-Link is a great choice, the reward will be also very nice design.
